Myron Gutmann honored by Library of Congress as “Digital Preservation Pioneer”
The Library of Congress’s Digital Preservation Program honored Gutmann’s work at ICPSR and as part of the Data Preservation Alliance for the Social Sciences (Data-PASS), a project that works to acquire and preserve a broad range of at-risk data, such as opinion polls, voting records and large-scale surveys.
Helen Levy appointed to position at Council of Economic Advisers
Beginning September 1, 2010 Helen Levy will serve as a Senior Economist for the Council of Economic Advisors. The CEA is an agency within the Executive Office of the President charged with advising the President on the formulation of both domestic and international economic policy. Levy will serve until mid-August 2011.
Dave Harding receives Henry Russel Award for 2011
Harding is among three faculty researchers selected to receive the University of Michigan’s 2011 Henry Russel Award, one of the highest honors given to junior faculty.
