YPL Michigan Data & Policy MDHHS MIHP Fellow_WKKF

We are seeking support for a two-year continuation of the YPL Fellowship position embedded within the Maternal Infant Health Program (MIHP) at MDHHS. MIHP is Michigans largest evidence-based home visiting program for Medicaid-eligible pregnant parents and infants. Prior research has demonstrated MIHPs positive impact on key maternal & infant health outcomes, including lower risk of preterm birth & low birth weighttwo primary drivers of maternal & infant mortality. Yet, MIHP only enrolls around 30% of eligible familieshighlighting opportunities to improve participation. This fellow will advance strategic priorities that aim to improve participant experiences and the quality of home visiting services that families receive. Additional funding for the MIHP embedded fellowship position will bolster YPLs ability to help MDHHS improve service delivery, increase equitable access to MIHP, and improve family experiences.
