NACJD requests extension of IAA 2011-BJ-R-6565 for additional funds to perform base archival tasks and two supplemental projects.

Archival development includes the identification, acquisition, and processing of major crime and justice data collections supported by Federal funds, other data collections which form the basis of important studies of crime or the criminal justice system, collections of data in the area of drugs and crime, and international criminology studies. Task 1 also involves the continued development of data products as well as the improvement of Internet based search, explore and extract capabilities.

Task 2 covers external relations that encompasses the provision of technical assistance and consultation mechanisms with users (current and potential/future) of the NACJD products. Technical assistance is provided to both external users and BJS staff as needed. All staff on the BJS project provide assistance to users, mostly via either email or phone.

Two supplemental projects include the following: Data Sharing Between BJS, BJS Partners & NACJD and Transition Planning.
