National Archive of Criminal Justice Data-Supplement 4

The National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD) requests extension of our existing Inter-agency Agreement 2011-BJ-R-6565 with supplemental funding for the 12 months September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2016. For this budget period, the activities of the NACJD will be organized according to base archival activities and supplemental projects.

The base archival activities are divided into three tasks, which constitutes work that NACJD has traditionally done with support from BJS. Task 1 covers the archival development of data pertinent to the study of crime and the criminal justice system. Task 2 is external relations, which covers the provision of technical assistance and consultation through varied mechanisms with potential and ongoing users of the NACJD data and supporting materials. Task 3 Summer Training Program has been eliminated for summer 2016.

In addition to the base archival activities, our budget includes five of the six supplemental projects. The supplemental projects will help BJS meet a goal of disseminating criminal justice information to a wide variety of audiences in an efficient manner. Some of the projects deal explicitly with disseminating data. Others deal with more effective reporting to ensure that goals are being met.
