ICPSR will review data and indicators to match specified Priority Information Requirements (PIRs). The report will provide brief descriptions of the National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD), the larger organization – the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), and the parent organization – the Institute for Social Research (ISR). All are located at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Each organization has skills that could be accessed depending on the scope of work desired.

The main part of the report will address the Priority Information Requirements indicated in the documents shared with us. Specifically, we will identify and discuss data sources that could be used to address the PIRs. For those data sources with which we have extensive experience, we will indicate capabilities and limitations of the data for the specified goals. For other data sources with which we have less experience, we will indicate our best evaluation of the data.

The final section of the report will discuss creating merged data resources, calculating meaningful measures, building standard reports, and routinely updating the data resources. This section may be somewhat speculative. Drawing on discussions and the materials provided, we will make recommendations about what would be useful for .
