With financial support from NIA, we seek proposals for manuscripts assessing various aspects of population level trends in dementia. The authors will present the manuscripts at a conference in the Washington DC area in May or June 2017. We anticipate that the manuscripts will be published as part of a supplemental issue of a peer-reviewed journal, and we are currently in discussions with Journals of Gerontology: Social Sciences.¶¶Four priority areas have been identified: ¶1. latest data on population-level trends in dementia from the US and abroad; ¶2. disparities in trends in dementia; ¶3. causes of population-level trends in dementia; ¶4. consequences of population-level trends in dementia for individuals, families, and¶societies.
