In an article on CNBC, Joelle Abramowitz points out that employers with self-funded health insurance may be able to maintain abortion coverage. She has some suggestions regarding “out of network” benefits, which may need to be used to access abortion: ask your insurance company about the benefits and how they work; it may be less expensive to pay out-of-pocket and many providers work on a sliding scale; and it’s worth asking if there are any in-network providers in another state.
