The Institute for Social Research’s program in Society, Population, and Environment (SPE) focuses on social change and social issues worldwide, with long-term programs of research in both North America and South Asia. The Society, Population, and Environment Program is organized around four themes:¶¶ * Social Organization, Social Relationships, and Social Psychology¶ * Population Dynamics and Family Change¶ * Environmental Change¶ * New Methods for Social Research¶¶The Program also involves substantial educational activities at the post-doctoral, doctoral, and undergraduate levels. The Society, Population, and Environment Program is part of both ISR’s Population Studies Center and ISR’s Survey Research Center.¶¶SPE Partners include:¶¶ * Population and Ecology Research Laboratory (PERL)¶ * Institute for Social and Environmental Research-Nepal (ISER-N)¶ * Partnerships for International Research and Education (PIRE)
