On April 28 at the Annual Meeting of the Population Association of America, former PSC trainee Eric Chyn won the Dorothy S Thomas Award for best graduate student paper on the interrelationships among social, economic and demographic variables. Chyn’s winning paper is entitled: “The Long-Run Effect of Public Housing Demolition on Labor Market Outcomes of Children.” The Award includes a cash prize. Chyn is now an Assistant Economics Professor at the University of Virginia.
