ANN ARBOR — The landscape around abortion in the United States has changed dramatically since the Supreme Court’s ruling in June 2022. Who have these changes affected the most? The answer may surprise you.
Julie Maslowsky of the Institute for Social Research has been tracking the changing attitudes and actions of various population groups concerning abortions. In September 2024, she presented at ISR on how the changing societal framework around abortion have changed since the Supreme Court’s ruling came down, finding that adolescents in America have been among the hardest hit. On this episode of The Abstract, we’ll listen to some of what she had to say, exploring the ways abortion laws are shaping some of the youngest portions of the American population.
