PRB Workshop

Per the terms of the Population, Reproductive Health and Economic Development ?PopDev? Joint Call for Research Proposals, applicants who are invited to submit a full proposal to the funding scheme will be granted funds to organize a proposal elaboration workshop with the relevant stakeholders. The workshop is a prerequisite for submission of a full proposal. University of Michigan (David Lam) and University of Cape Town (Murray Leibbrandt) submitted their pre-proposal together and will conduct the participatory workshop together. Since most of the expenses for the workshop will be incurred by University of Michigan, this agreement is made with University of Michigan. The previous agreement issued to University of Cape Town for the workshop is null and void.
Organization will conduct a participatory workshop with the stakeholders who are most important to its research program based on the information contained in the call for research proposals and the Tips for a Participatory Workshop that has been sent under separate cover.
Organization will be reimbursed up to $10,570 (?8,000 at current exchange rates) for expenses incurred in conducting the workshop. Allowed expenses include personnel to plan and conduct the workshop, travel for facilitators and participants, meeting costs, other costs, and overhead (not to exceed 15% of direct costs). Expenses for alcohol will not be reimbursed. Please use the format below for reporting spending after the workshop is completed. Note that reported expenses greater than $100 and all honorarium payments must be accompanied by a receipt.
