NEISS AIP Special Study Data

NACJD will prepare the two datasets for public distribution via the NACJD and ICPSR Websites. NACJD will make these data available in a variety of popular formats. Documentation will be in the form of a PDF codebook.
The main data processing activities involved with these two datasets are updating metadata for display on our Websites, reviewing statistical output for reasonableness, preparing a standard suite of data distribution formats (SAS, SPSS, STATA, ASCII), and updating the previous years? codebooks in each Option Year to reflect current information. The datasets will be discoverable by electronic search mechanisms and preserved for historical purposes.
In addition, NACJD staff will discuss any potential disclosure issues that it is aware of with CDC staff. Together CDC and NACJD staffs will address any issues by means of recoding or suppressing sensitive information. Historically these data have not had disclosure issues that would prevent public release; however, review for such issues is standard practice with all datasets.
