Multi-generational Demographic and Landholding Data: CMGPD-SC Public Release

ICPSR will process five data sets and supporting documentation provided by UCLA for release at ICPSR. ICPSR will release the data and documentation through the Data Sharing for Demographic Data portion of the ICPSR website. ICPSR will also advertise, organize and run a one-week workshop to train researchers how to use the data; and prepare and disseminate on-line teaching modules through one of ICPSRs resources for training undergraduates.

Leonard, Hathaway, Frania and Richardson, members of the ICPSR project team, are currently involved in an NIH-funded project to archive and disseminate a similar dataset, and so are the best qualified to carry out these tasks. Hoelter is Director of Instructional Resources and Development at ICPSR. In that capacity she has spearheaded the provision of undergraduate training resources at ICPSR, and is uniquely qualified to guide the development of on-line teaching and learning tools from the Shuangcheng dataset.
