In the paragraphs below we discuss the current LEAIC issues, our plans to address them, and our capabilities. A budget narrative is included here as well, and a budget spreadsheet is included as a separate file. This funding represents the first supplemental award to the initial award for the LEAIC Project (2011-MU-MU-K075) and will support the completion of the following tasks:
1) Identify agencies that have been created or abolished since the creation of the 2011 LEAIC list and update the list accordingly.
2) Test the methods designed to update the expanded crosswalk variables that have changed since the 2011 LEAIC.
3) Investigate the quality of the law enforcement shape files developed by the COPS office and produce a report on the feasibility and cost of including this information on the LEAIC file on an ongoing basis.
