This subcontract will fund the effort of Dr. Joanne Hsu, which will include providing guidance on the maintenance and use of multiple national data sets to be used by the Research Team at the University of Colorado, which will carry out the proposed research. We will need to produce analytic datasets suitable to address the aims of the project, which include health and financial data that are acquired by the Research Team and housed at the University of Colorado. Many of the data resources require substantial processing before they are ready for analysis and modeling. Dr. Hsu will develop processes and methodology for the processing and linkages of multiple datasets, as well as the design of econometric modelling methods. Primary responsibility for the management of all data sets needing restricted data use agreement will reside with the University of Colorado, while UM will primarily employ synthetic data sets for methodological development.
