Analysis of Measures Assessing Abortion Attitudes

As a preliminary step before designing new survey measures and collecting original data about abortion policy attitudes and opinions, it is valuable to systematically determine what it is that we do and do not know about these beliefs. To this end, a quantitative reexamination of existing surveys can provide useful insights into the set of measures that have been used in the past, their correlates, and trends in those measures over time. This subcontract outlines a series of goals, procedures and approaches that we plan to follow for collecting and analyzing the corpus of existing data on the issue.
