This seminar examines the concepts of race and ethnicity via quantitative research on racial and ethnic populations in the United States. More specifically, the areas of research design, measurement, and analytical approaches serve as the focal points of the course design. Individuals with a substantive interest in policy-relevant social science research on race, and inter-disciplinary methods will be afforded ample opportunities to explore a variety of important issues to specific racial/ethnic groups and/or comparative analyses.
