The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) at the University of Michigan?s Institute for Social Research proposes to develop a data repository to promote open science in patient-centered outcomes research. Researchers awarded funding from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) will be required to deposit their data and accompanying documentation into the repository for preservation and sharing. ICPSR will host the repository; work with the depositors to ensure their data packages are complete and correct, curate the data for increased findability, access, interoperability, and reuse; support deposit and access with appropriate legal agreements (e.g., data depositor and data use agreements); and perform outreach to make relevant scientific communities aware of the repository.
