Dmitriy Stolyarov is a macroeconomist with broad interests and several areas of focus. His work studied the aggregate effects of technological change, household behavior over the life cycle, and inequality – both theoretically and empirically. His research is methodologically diverse and built around deriving insights from the integration of theory and data.
Currently, Stolyarov pursues a research agenda at the intersection of economic growth and macro-finance. He focuses on structurally measuring the contribution of intellectual property to U.S. productivity growth and on studying the links between technology diffusion, productivity growth variations, and firm valuation cycles. His current work in empirical finance analyzes the dynamics of interest rates and risk-pricing factors that are common across asset classes.
